Smart farming technologies, Autonomous Mobile Robots and automated livestock systems will be showcased in Manila as Taiwanese companies explore how technology can support Philippine efforts to modernise agriculture, improve productivity and strengthen food security.
The timing is particularly relevant as the Philippines scales up investment in agricultural transformation. In May 2026, the Department of Agriculture launched the Philippine Sustainable Agriculture Transformation Program, backed by a US$1 billion World Bank financing package aimed at modernising agriculture, raising farm productivity, stabilising food supply and strengthening climate resilience.
Against this backdrop, the Agritech & Food Pavilion at Taiwan Expo 2026 will showcase Taiwanese technologies designed to improve agricultural efficiency, livestock management and food production.
Among the featured solutions are Autonomous Mobile Robots, or AMRs, designed to support more efficient agricultural operations and reduce dependence on repetitive manual processes, as well as smart livestock environmental control systems that can help producers monitor and manage conditions across poultry and swine operations.
The technologies could provide relevant options for Philippine agricultural businesses dealing with the continuing need to raise output, improve resource efficiency, modernise production and strengthen the resilience of food supply chains.
Alongside agricultural technology, the pavilion will feature premium Phalaenopsis orchids, Taiwanese high-mountain teas and classic Taiwanese specialty foods, giving Philippine importers, distributors, retailers and food businesses opportunities to discover products seeking access to the local market.
The wider Agritech & Food showcase also includes solutions related to smart farming, livestock automation, organic products and cold chain technologies.
Taiwan Expo has already demonstrated significant commercial interest in the Philippine market. Its 2025 edition attracted more than 10,000 visitors and buyers and generated approximately US$53.4 million in business opportunities.
Philippine agribusiness companies, food manufacturers, distributors, retailers and buyers can connect directly with participating Taiwanese companies through Taiwan Expo’s enhanced Business Matching Program.
