Miles Ocampo and Khalil Ramos team up Che and Mark who have a 'mutual understanding' relationship in "MMK"

Kapamilya teen stars Miles Ocampo and Khalil Ramos will team up for the first time in the upcoming episode of ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (August 2).

They will play the characters of teenagers Che and Mark who have a "mutual understanding" relationship.


Although they are not officially in a romantic relationship, Che and Mark feel love and contentment in their lives. Everything seems to be perfect until Mark admits to Che that he has fallen in love with another girl who is pregnant with his child. Che is heartbroken.

Is moving on possible for Che when everything constantly reminds her of Mark and their happy times together? Can she forgive someone who has given her so much joy but has caused so much pain at the same time?

Also part of the episode are Ana Capri, Sofia Andres, Francis Magundayao, Mikylla Ramirez, and Claire Ruiz. It is directed by Raz de la Torre and written by Benson Logronio and Arah Jell Badayos. “MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos and creative manager Mel Mendoza-del Rosario.

Capturing the hearts of Filipino viewers all over the world for the past 23 years, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” has legions of fans from different generations who cried, laughed, fell in love, and got inspired through the real-life narratives of the show’s letter-senders.

Manny Pacquiao confirms his plan to run for senator in 2016

Boxing superstar and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao has confirmed his plan to run for senator under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) in the 2016 elections.

“There’s a big possibility that I will run for Senate. UNA has asked me to join its slate, and I’m grateful for that,” he says in “Tapatan Ni Tunying” airing this Thursday (July 31).


Meanwhile, Manny is set to defend his WBO welterweight title against younger and undefeated American fighter Christopher Mark Algieri in November. At 35, Manny says he is not scared of going against younger opponents.

After his WBO welterweight title fight, he expects to fight in four matches before officially retiring in 2016 in time for the next national elections, adding that he still hopes to face American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the ring. Manny shares he had a phone conversation with Mayweather to iron out the details of a possible fight, but the deal still fell through.

In the interview, Manny also reveals to Anthony “Tunying” Taberna that his mother Dionisia has a boyfriend. He also shares some revelations about his personal life in the episode.

“Home Sweetie Home” experience an earthquake on the show this Saturday

John Lloyd Cruz, Toni Gonzaga, and the other cast members of ABS-CBN’s hit sitcom “Home Sweetie Home” experience an earthquake on the show this Saturday (August 2), and because of what could’ve happened, their family life together might need to be sacrificed for safety’s sake.

In the sitcom’s upcoming episode, Daddy V (Rico Puno) finds an old map that shows that their house is on an earthquake fault line. Nanay Loi (Sandy Andolong) hears about this and starts to think that she and her children should move out instead of putting themselves at risk in the house of the Valentino family.

Romeo (John Lloyd Cruz) is very disturbed by this, as he does not want to be separated from his wife. He decides to do some research to find out if their house really does lie on a fault line.

Will Romeo be able to find the right information to keep him and Julie (Toni Gonzaga) together? Or can  this  threat pull everyone apart?

“Hawak Kamay” tops television ratings for five days straight on its debut week

ABS-CBN’s newest family drama, “Hawak Kamay,” reached out to modern day Filipino families all throughout the country and topped television ratings for five days straight on its debut week.


According to data from Kantar Media, “Hawak Kamay” consistently took the number 1 spot in daily nationwide television ratings, earning an average rating of 24.6%   throughout the week of July 21-25 as compared to its rival network’s counterpart, which earned an average rating of 17.7%.  On its "Hawak Kamay" Rewind last Saturday, it got a rating of 8.2% vs. its rival which got 7.2%.

“Hawak Kamay” stars acclaimed television and movie actor Piolo Pascual and details the story of a beat down musician named Gin who finds light in his experiences with three orphans who come into his life by a fateful series of events.

The series also features the talents of child superstars Zaijan Jaranilla, Andrea Brillantes, Xyriel Manabat, and Yesha Camile. They are joined by Iza Calzado, Nikki Gil, Ryan Bang, Axel Torres, Sofia Andres, and Victor Neri.

Vhong Navarro, Carmina Villarroel, and Louise Abuel in "Wansapanataym" special 'Nato de Coco'

Vhong Navarro, Carmina Villarroel, and Louise Abuel will fill the month of August with magic and important values as they star in the newest “Wansapanataym” special titled "Nato de Coco," which will premiere this Sunday (August 3).

In the TV remake of one of the creations of comics master Rod Santiago, Vhong will portray the character of Oca, a professional basketball player and the father of Nato (Louise). Because of his busy schedule, Oca fails to give enough time and attention to his family, especially to his only son who is his number one fan.

Can Oca still make up for his shortcomings to his family? How will he be able to help Nato when he meets an accident and dies?

Also featured in “Nato de Coco” are Ella Cruz, Joshua Dionisio, Epi Quizon, and Yogo Singh. It is written by Noreen Capili and directed by Lino Cayetano.

From the production of Dreamscape Entertainment Television, the original storybook for Filipino kids “Wansapanataym” is ABS-CBN’s longest-running and most-awarded fantasy-drama anthology.
