The Philippine stock market ended the trading week in positive territory, boosted by softer-than-expected inflation figures.

According to Luis Limlingan of Regina Capital in a Philippine News Agency (PNA) report, the local stock market’s positive performance was supported by the country’s latest inflation figures, which came in lower than the previous month’s landing.
“The softer inflation reading prompted some buying activity among investors, supporting the broader market,” Limlingan said.
The local stock market also favored gainers, with 108 advancers against 93 decliners, while 54 remained unchanged.
