On a hot Sunday (April 17) afternoon, Chito Miranda shared his opinion on Twitter about Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial ‘rape joke.’
According to @purplefonts on Twitter, these are the deleted tweets posted by Chito Miranda a while ago.
We also secured a screencap of his original post at 1:01pm this afternoon and it says, “As i’ve said, what Duterte did was offensive and unacceptable, kahit alam ko na joke ‘yun. Pero for me, mas offensive ang pangungurakot.”
The Parokya ni Edgar frontman remains a loyal supporter of 2016 presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte despite the flak he received for joking about an Australian missionary who was raped in Davao City.
Few minutes after he received bloody responses regarding his tweet, he deleted the post.
Chito weighed in on the ‘rape joke’ through posting a lengthy message on his Twitter.
According to Chito, he deleted his tweets “to simplify” his “stand para ma-gets ng lahat. :)”
He again reiterated his stand. “Again, para simple. RAPE is worse than corruption. Corruption is worse than joking about rape, but joking about rape IS STILL UNACCEPTABLE.”
UPDATE: All these tweets posted by Chito Miranda on his Twitter account were already deleted. As in all.
The latest tweet he posted was: “I decided to simplify life and delete my tweets. Basta gusto ko maging maayos at safe ang Pilipinas kahit sino pa man ang manalo. Ok? Good.”
