While the issue on third sex remains to be a sensitive topic in the Philippines, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” is going to cater the life story of a gay named Bonsai (Janus del Prado) and his quest for acceptance this Saturday (April 14).

After finally having the guts to admit to his family that he is gay, Bonsai left for Manila to live the life that he had always wanted and forget the pains that his family has given him. As he enjoys the freedom of expressing his sexuality, Bonsai became shocked and terrified with the sight of his youngest sister Lencie (Trina Legaspi) as a lesbian. With the fear of seeing his sister experience what he has been through, how will Bonsai protect Lencie from the discrimination and judgment of their family? Will the siblings ever get the acceptance and approval of their own family?

The “MMK” episode also includes Sharmaine Suarez, Gloria Sevilla, Ismael Clavero, Kyline Alcantara, Jong Cuenco, CJ Navato, Simon Ibarra, and Amante Pulido. It was researched by Alexndra Mae Martin, written by Benson Logronio and directed by Nuel Naval.

Don’t miss another remarkable TV master piece this Saturday in the longest running drama anthology of Asia, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (MMK), after “Junior Master Chef Pinoy Edition” on ABS-CBN.
