Jerome shared how happy he is to be back on TV screens for a teleserye
The cast of ABS-CBN’s upcoming primetime series “The Good Son” enthusiastically greeted the friends from the media during their show’s Bloggers Conference earlier this week.
Leading young stars of today, Joshua Garcia, Loisa Andalio, McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson (McLisse), and Jerome Ponce graced the full house event.
This show will serve as the comeback of 22-year-old Jerome Ponce after being missed by his fans. His last notable appearance on a series was in Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap’s “Be Careful with My Heart.”
Jerome shared that he’s been in a showbiz drought for a few years now. He’s glad that he can finally return to entertain the Kapamilya viewers.
“Taon na rin ang binilang ko dahil walang trabaho, puro guesting lang. I grabbed the opportunity at ako naman po ang napili,” he stated.
It was not easy, Jerome described his journey to get the role. He revealed that he went through an audition and almost lost the project to young actor Elmo Magalona.
“Sumugal sa akin si Direk. Una, hindi niya ako kilala. Pero sumugal siya, kaya ‘yon ang pinanghahawakan ko sa ngayon.”
If you recall, Jerome was Elisse Joson’s ex-boyfriend. Remember when he tried to win her back when she was inside the “Pinoy Big Brother” house? Well, Jerome will be sharing the same soap with her along with new love team partner McCoy de Leon.
Is there an awkward cloud surrounding the three?
“Relax lang. Wala pa rin naman kami masyadong eksena at nakakapagkuwentuhan naman kapag magkakasama na kaming lahat. Magkaiba lang talaga ang tent namin.”
Jerome assured his supporters that he will showcase his best in the soon-to-be aired series.
Let’s just hope for the best to all of them.
