- Fans of Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid [collectively known as GabRu] love team were not only surprised but also disappointed when Kapuso Network had announced that Ruru will be paired with another actress in the continuation saga of “Alyas Robin Hood.”
- There have also been reports circulating that it was really Gabbi who had actually requested for the temporary split up of their tandem.
- But Gabbi vehemently denied this, saying it was all management’s decision.
- Gabbi assured the GabRu fans that the two of them will still be working together on their weekly TV show “Sunday PinaSaya.”
Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia clarified reports that she was the one who asked the Kapuso management for the temporarily split up of her love team with Ruru Madrid.
According to Gabbi in an interview with Pep.ph, she admitted that the GabRu fans felt really bad that she’s not a part of “Alyas Robinhood” and that Ruru will be paired with another actress.
For her, it was natural for them [fans] to feel that way and she understands because they’ve been supporting their love team ever since their tandem was discovered on GMA Network’s teleserye in 2015’s “Let The Love Begin.”
Gabbi said everything was up to the management’s decision. They might think that both of them are ready to explore different career paths. She also considered what happened as some sort of a career growth for both of them. Gabbi said she doesn’t really mind if Ruru will be having a new leading lady for “Alyas Robinhood.”
She had also denied the rumor that it was her who actually sought GMA Network management to put an end to their love team.
“Grabe naman ‘yun na ako daw yung humiling sa management!,” said Gabbi.
She has clarified that she had always been loyal to GabRu loveteam. In fact, when the two of them did “Encantadia,” Ruru was paired with Kylie Padilla and Arra San Agustin but it was never an issue with Gabbi. She even said that she did her part in comforting their fans who were disappointed that they were not paired with each other.
For Gabbi, everything is based on management’s decision. She believes pairing them with other partners will both be beneficial for their respective careers.
