- TV Host/Actor Luis Manzano reacts to netizens pushing him to do Captain Barbell
Following his father’s track?
Luis Manzano reacted to various requests of social media users to take the role of the modern superhero version of Mars Ravelo’s “Captain Barbell.”
His dad, Edu Manzano, took the character back in 1986 under Viva Films. This remake was the closest portrayal of the original comic story.
It can be recalled that this was the first remake that showed a crossover team-up between Captain Barbell and Darna.
Luis replied to some comments encouraging him to accept the role.
According to him, he’s not yet that prominent of a star to be given a big role.
