- Joshua Garcia recently experienced such kind of moment when he met Julia Barreto’s dad, comedian Dennis Padilla in person.
- He never really thought that they’d hit it off immediately because it was the first time he’s met Julia’s dad.
- But he said he was lucky because Dennis was really warm and nice in person.
Julia had introduced him to her dad during the recent father’s day where they both hang out with Dennis the entire day.
Joshua Garcia admitted that he has met Julia Barretto’s dad, comedian Dennis Padilla recently. He was overwhelmed because he never really thought Dennis would be so cool. “Same sila ng Papa ko. Sobrang simple lang, hindi sila ma-showbiz. Nagka-jive agad kami,” beams Joshua.
Joshua was actually introduced to Dennis during the bonding of Julia and her dad last Father’s Day. They had dinner somewhere along Tomas Morato in Quezon City.
“Yeah, it happened on Father’s Day, magkasama sila [Julia and her Dad] so nakisama rin ako ‘dun. Nagkita-kita na lang kami sa Morato, then we had dinner. She introduced me to her Dad. Nagka-bonding kami, tawanan agad. Walang dull moment with her dad,” relates Joshua.
The 19-year-old was all praises to Dennis. He found Dennis to be very funny, kind and approachable. He also admitted that at first, he was really nervous about meeting him. But it turned out, there’s really nothing to worry about.
Asked on whether he is courting Julia, Joshua said, “Nakaka-pressure siya magtanong, pero habang tumatagal ‘yung pag-uusap, napapalagay na ako.”
Joshua also disclosed that they are now textmates. “Nagkapalitan na po kami ng numbers. I got a thank you text from him. Feeling ko nagtiwala na lang siya sa akin, alam niya naman,” he said.
