Angel Locsin and KC Concepcion had one thing in common.
Just like fellow actress Angel Locsin, KC Concepcion is also very much into volunteerism and doing something good for the humanity. If Angel is an ambassador for Philippine Red Cross, KC is an ambassador for United Nations World Food Program. Hence, it’s inevitable for netizens to make an issue between the two mentioned celebrities.
KC Concepcion recently experienced bashing from a netizen which compared her with Angel who recently went out of her way to reach out to the refugees in Marawi City. Some people seemed to be expecting KC to do the same thing that Angel has done. Some people went below the belt even calling KC as someone hypocrite and who doesn’t genuinely care for people.
A netizen even considered KC as “walang pakielam at puro kaplastikan lang ang alam.”
Even Angel wasn’t spared herself from the negative comments despite of what she has done in Marawi and Lanao del Norte. Some people are expecting KC to help with the ongoing relief operations as an ambassador of the UN World Food Program.
People used to see KC as an active volunteer during times of national disasters and other volunteer activities, most especially in far-flung provinces. Someone even made a comment about KC being more active with current boyfriend, Aly Borromeo—they say he’s the reason why she has stopped being active in charity works.
On her Instagram post, KC shared her plans of buying a new car and a house. Netizens had taken them again negatively. KC calls out her bashers, she wrote: “Not everything we do to help is shared. Most times you are not aware of what is being done to help in private.”
One of KC’s fans also tried to defend her from bashers, saying: “Wag kayong mag-judge agad pwede? Kung hindi nyo man nakikita sa TV, sa mga newspaper/tabloid o sa mga video sa social media ang pagtulong ni KC, hindi ibig sabihin ay deadma lang siya at wala na siyang pakialam sa mga nangyayayri. FYI, napakarami niyang ginagawang outreach programs sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.”
Another concerned follower also said positive things about KC, “May karapatan din naman si KC na lumigaya at asikasuhin ang lovelife niya. It’s not right to judge her base lang sa nakikita natin sa FB, Twitter at IG. For all you know, matagal nang nagpunta sa Marawi si KC para tumulong pero hindi lang na-media. Stop the hate! Let’s help each other na lang!”
