When you’re friends with someone, it’s but natural to defend them when someone tries to hurt them. This holds true with comedienne Kakai Bautista’s friendship with fellow actress Kim Chiu.
The latter was bashed recently on her insensitive posts on Instagram regarding her visit to Nepal where she’s currently shooting “The Ghost Bride.”
Kakai feels lucky to be able to work with Kim again in this horror movie. She was handpicked by director Chito Roño specifically for her role.
She says she’s grateful to be working with Kim again. “Matagal na yung last time na magka-work kami ni Kim. I’m very thankful to Star Cinema for this opportunity.”
Masayahin, mabait, basta makulit,” she laughs at her own analysis of co-star Kim.
“Pero sa movie, makikita nyo she’s going to be a different Kim. For the first time, siya ‘yung Ghost Bride.”
While filming the said horror movie, Kim was criticized by netizens for her supposedly insensitive comments about Nepal which she shared on her social media account. Kakai comes to her friend’s rescue. She said people shouldn’t take things too seriously.
“Si Kim kasi very bubbly so siguro sometimes she’s not aware [of her statements] pero wala siyang bad intentions. Enjoy lang siya kaya siyempre ‘yung pleasure sinagad nya while working at the same time. So huwag nyo masamain yung sinabi niya.
Kim reportedly tried extreme sports while in Nepal. She did paragliding among many others. “Walang takot si Kim. Matapang.
