Speculation has ignited over whether actor Paulo Avelino gifted co-star Kim Chiu a custom pink bike, following remarks made during a live episode of ‘It’s Showtime’.
The rumors gained traction after Chiu’s co-hosts teased her about the eye-catching bike she has been using.
In the January 16 episode, Darren Espanto brought up Chiu’s new ride, jokingly saying, “Saka bumili ‘yan ng bike, Tyang. Kasi gusto niya maging active.”
Chiu quickly responded, clarifying that she didn’t buy the bike herself: “Hoy, may bike na talaga ako… Binigay ‘yung bike, bigay ‘yon.”
This prompted more teasing from her co-hosts, who implied the gift came from someone special. Chiu laughed it off, saying, “Hoy, tama na. Presscon?”
The pink bike, which features intricate detailing and a high-performance build, became a topic of interest after a close-up video of it was shared online. Cyclist and Blooms Runs Club founder Patrick detailed the specs in an Instagram post: “Kim Chiu’s Trek Madone Gen 8 SLR Project One custom painted to pink, paired with an Enve 4.5 wheelset with Giro D’ Italia decals and a pink Ceramicspeed OSPW.”
Photos of Chiu cycling alongside Avelino have also gone viral, fueling speculation that the actor may have been behind the thoughtful gift.
“Finally, after so long of wanting a pink bike, here it is!!!!”

Further adding intrigue, co-host Ion Perez jokingly asked Chiu in a video to bring along “the person who gave her the bike” for a group ride. Neither Chiu nor Avelino has directly addressed the rumors, leaving fans to piece together the details.
The speculation coincides with the upcoming release of ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’, a romantic film featuring Chiu and Avelino in their first big-screen pairing. The two previously worked together on the Philippine adaptation of ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim’ and the TV series ‘Linlang’.
When asked about her experience filming the movie, Chiu shared her excitement, saying, “Okay naman… Enjoy… Aba’y oo naman [masaya] kasi maganda ‘yung movie.”
While the pink bike remains a mystery, fans eagerly await confirmation—or denial—of the rumors. In the meantime, they are also looking forward to the chemistry between Chiu and Avelino in their highly anticipated film, set to hit theaters in March 2025.
