The film ‘Green Bones’, featuring Ruru Madrid and Dennis Trillo, emerged as one of the big winners at the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal.
Directed by Zig Dulay, ‘Green Bones’ took home the coveted Best Picture award, along with several other recognitions, including Best Actor for Dennis Trillo, Best Supporting Actor for Ruru Madrid, Best Screenplay for Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza, Best Cinematography for Neil Daza, and Best Child Performer for Sienna Stevens.
In his acceptance speech, director Zig Dulay expressed his gratitude to the team behind the film and the Metro Manila Film Festival for recognizing their hard work.
‘Green Bones’ has also been receiving critical acclaim, earning the highest 5-star rating among the seven reviewed entries by LionhearTV.
The film’s box office performance has seen a significant boost following its wins at the Gabi ng Parangal. From being shown in 47 cinemas on its first day, the number of theaters increased to 80 by its third day. Industry insiders expect this figure to rise further in the coming days, especially after its Best Picture victory.
