Actress Julia Barretto is having a busy holiday season, juggling multiple projects, including the promotion of her 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry ‘Hold Me Close’ and her latest endorsement as the new face of Pina Beauty PH.
Amidst a whirlwind of mall shows and press events for her reunion film with Carlo Aquino, Julia was officially introduced as the brand ambassador for Pina Beauty during a glamorous launch at the brand’s office in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) on Thursday.
Pina executives expressed that Julia was the perfect fit as the ambassador for the brand, describing her as the embodiment of a true Pina beauty—confident, empowered, youthful, yet sophisticated.
The name Pina is derived from FiliPINA, reflecting the brand’s deep respect for Filipino heritage and culture. Pina Beauty’s mission is to empower Filipino women and celebrate their excellence across the globe.
Julia, who is also known for her role as a strong advocate for empowering women, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity. She spoke highly of Pina’s values, saying she admires how the brand uplifts the image of Filipino women in various fields. Some of Pina’s popular products include Pina Light Soap, Pina Glow Soap, and Pina Glow Lotion.
The Pina Light and Pina Glow soaps were recently recognized as the Best Skincare Soaps at the Mega Beauty Awards 2024.
In a fun twist, Julia shared that she gifted her boyfriend, actor Gerald Anderson, a bar of Pina beauty soap so he could try it himself. She also revealed that for this holiday season, she plans to give Pina products as Christmas gifts to her family and friends.
With all these projects, Julia’s holiday plans are understandably packed. When asked if she would have time for a vacation this Christmas, Julia admitted that due to the hectic promotion schedule for ‘Hold Me Close,’ she might only have time to relax after the New Year.
