US-based former actress G Toengi has slammed Mocha Uson on social media for being the newest assistant secretary of Philippine Communications Operation Office (PCOO) on May 8.
On her Twitter account, G Toengi wrote: “[Uson] & Andanar, now in cahoots to spread #fakenews in this current administration! No credentials or qualifications!”
G Toengi was not the only celebrity who reacted to Mocha’s appointment in government.
On May 9, Miss International Philippines Mariel de Leon expressed her disapproval for the former sex blogger. The beauty queen stated that she would choose her country over the crown.
Mocha Uson was appointed Assistant Secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) last week. The PCOO, headed by Secretary Martin Andanar, is the lead communications arm of the government. Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella, who is also under the PCOO, manages the department’s content and distribution of information.
