In a surprising turn of events, ex-couple Heaven Peralejo and Kiko Estrada have reunited on-screen for TV5’s primetime action drama Carlo J. Caparas’ ‘Lumuhod Ka sa Lupa’ (Ang Bagong Yugto).
Peralejo recently joined the series as Hope Soldado, a character teased with the tagline, “Ano ang pag-asang dala niya sa buhay ni Norman dela Cruz?” Norman, portrayed by Estrada, is the show’s lead character.
The two stars, who had a brief but publicized romance in 2021, are now sharing scenes in the hit series. The sight of them acting alongside each other has sparked intrigue among viewers. Insiders reveal that Peralejo’s role is not a mere guest appearance, as her character plays a vital part in the story.
This reunion comes shortly after Peralejo made her relationship with Marco Gallo public during her 25th birthday celebration in Europe. In an Instagram post, Gallo referred to Peralejo as “mahal” and shared a cozy video of them together, which has since garnered over 400,000 likes.
Despite their past, Peralejo and Estrada have demonstrated professionalism on set. Fans speculate that their willingness to work together reflects a level of maturity and healing over the years. Estrada, who signed with Viva Artists Agency in May 2024, joins Peralejo, who has been part of Viva since earlier in her career.
The series’ producer, Viva boss Vic del Rosario, is said to have played a key role in bringing the two together for the show.
Peralejo’s involvement in the series comes as she enjoys a personal milestone—a European trip to celebrate her birthday. Before departing, she reportedly filmed several episodes for the series. Meanwhile, Estrada remains focused on his career, with no public updates on his personal life.
‘Lumuhod Ka sa Lupa’ airs weeknights at 7:30 PM on TV5, leading into ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.’
