Social media influencer and content creator Sassa Gurl recently revealed a painful experience from her early career, where she was scolded by a well-known actress while working as an assistant stylist.
In a candid interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ Sassa shared how, at the age of 17, she was verbally attacked by the actress while doing her job. When Boy Abunda asked her about the rumors of the actress scolding her, Sassa replied with a quick “Ay, maldita. Oh my God! Yes! Pero ‘wag niyo iri-reveal ha?”
The young Sassa was merely doing her job when she asked the actress which outfits she preferred, but instead of a calm response, she was met with an outburst. The actress reportedly shouted, “Ang pangit! Ang pangit ko diyan! Hindi ko ikakaganda ‘yan! Maghanap ka ng iba!”
Sassa, who felt she had done nothing wrong, admitted that the experience deeply hurt her. “Dinamdam ko talaga. Ang sakit sa loob. Siyempre, nu’ng pagtalikod niya, inirapan ko,” she confessed, explaining that she gave the actress a dirty look as she walked away.
When asked if the actress was still active in showbiz, Sassa replied, “Hindi ko alam. Pero dama ko, yes, kung nasaan ka man, yes, napaganda mo ang backstory ko.”
Despite this negative experience, Sassa Gurl has continued to rise in her career, recently starring in the 2024 Cinemalaya film ‘Balota,’ where she portrayed Babe, a passionate youth involved in anti-corruption protests.
