A prominent businessman is reportedly planning to produce a movie based on the life of Angelica Yulo, mother of renowned gymnast Carlos Yulo, according to a recent report on the ‘Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update’ vlog.
Touched by Angelica’s life story, the businessman expressed interest in bringing her inspiring journey to the big screen.
During the show, talent manager and host Ogie Diaz discussed recent developments concerning the Yulo family. Co-host Mama Loi inquired whether Carlos Yulo, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, had ever quietly offered support to his family. Diaz shared that according to his sources, Carlos has not yet done so.
The discussion also touched on Angelica’s recent social media post, where she thanked a sponsor for covering her trip to Singapore alongside some friends.
In her Facebook post, Angelica mentioned that her airfare was covered by her eldest daughter, Jorielgel Yulo, while their luxury hotel stay in Singapore was sponsored by a “kindhearted woman” who preferred to remain anonymous.
Diaz revealed that, based on his sources, the financial backer for Angelica’s trip was indeed a wealthy businessman. This same businessman reportedly plans to adapt Angelica’s life story into a movie titled “The Angelica Yulo Life Story,” which will chronicle her experiences and challenges as a mother and her struggles over the years.
In a surprising twist, the businessman is also offering the Yulo family the opportunity to live in one of his properties—a mansion valued at P95 million. The family is welcome to stay in the house for as long as they wish, effectively gifting them the property as a long-term residence.
The businessman, who reportedly grew up in hardship and deeply values family, was moved by the Yulo family’s circumstances. Diaz added that this backstory is a driving factor in the businessman’s decision to support Angelica’s family and provide them with a more stable and comfortable life.
