Actor Joshua Garcia has reaffirmed his commitment to ABS-CBN by renewing his exclusive contract, describing his relationship with the network as “forever.”
The actor expressed deep gratitude to ABS-CBN and Star Magic, crediting them for their support and guidance in honing his skills.
“Kung hindi dahil din sa Star Magic, wala ako dito, kung hindi dahil sa tiyaga nila sa ‘kin sa pag-hone ng craft ko. Maraming salamat,” he shared, emphasizing that the network has become like a second family to him.
During the contract signing event, host Robi Domingo jokingly urged Garcia to sign quickly, hinting that he might lose his chance if the executives change their minds.
Julia Barretto, Garcia’s former girlfriend and on-screen partner, sent a video message commending his dedication. “Not once did I ever hear him complain about being tired,” Barretto said. “It just goes to show how much he loves what he does and how much hard work he will put into his craft because that’s how much he loves it.”
“I am so proud to have witnessed your growth as an actor and even as a person,” Julia added.
Veteran director Olivia “Inang” Lamasan also praised Garcia, sharing that he was the only actor she personally requested to work with. “There was really something about him that my gut-feel was telling me na meron itong star potential,” she noted. Recalling his early role in the film Barcelona, starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, Lamasan added, “But I was very happy that tama pa rin ang aking gut-feel because Joshua did not disappoint.”
Joshua Garcia’s contract renewal solidifies his role as one of ABS-CBN’s brightest talents, with his journey marked by growth, dedication, and continued support from industry peers.
