Long before the global breakout career of the award-winning filmmaker Emille Joson, she was an intern at ABS-CBN Star Cinema under the supervision of Mac Merla.
According to showbiz investigative reporters, Joson was also being trained at that time under Becky Aguila’s acting workshop to become part of the Star Magic. Unfortunately, the stunning filmmaker chose not to pursue an acting career because of her father’s strict rules, who at that time was working at Solar Entertainment Company as an auditor.
Although Joson graciously exited ABS-CBN after her historic nomination at the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival to focus on freelance career in independent films, she has still remained friends with her former bosses and colleagues in the Kapamilya network. Hence, her family produced events in Plaridel, Bulacan (Alaga Producers Cooperative), where most of the invited performers are Star Magic ABS-CBN talents. Sometimes she still does some projects with the network too as a freelance until 2015.
But behind her phenomenal career, she’s still remain private about her life. In spite of that, a follower online user has still captured Daniel Matsunaga’s video message from her private Instagram story. In this video, the Brazilian supermodel and PBB grand winner gave a delightful message to Joson’s older sister, Malou Joson, who happens to be a fan of the actor.

“I already worked with your super beautiful sister Direk Emille Joson, some of the ABS CBN shows back then at sobrang bait at sobrang astig nya, no wonder she’s an international acclaimed director right now! And you’re very very lucky to have her as a sister, so please treasure her.” – Daniel Matsunaga
Meanwhile, other eagle-eyed Kapamilya fans who are hoping for Joson’s reunion project with the giant network have found an old photo via her twitter where she’s with Star Cinema Adprom bosses. It features her pre-transition days with Star Cinema’s former publicist, Adprom Lorelie Dionisio, and her post-transition stolen photo at the Star Cinema office way back in 2017.
Online users also learned that her older sister, Dina Joson, and her niece once trained and worked in the network as well. Many people praised the filmmaker’s simplicity for not bragging and allowing time to showcase everything itself.

Her last project with Kapamilya network was Ivan Andrew Payawal’s dark-comedy powerhouse film “The Comeback” under Cinema One Originals, alongside Kaye Abad, Adrienne Vergara, Joem Bascon, Matt Evans, Award-Winning and Box-Office filmmakers Petersen Vargas, and Martika Escobar.
