Kapuso actor Ken Chan has broken his silence regarding the ongoing controversy involving his restaurant, Cafe Claus, and its investor.
Amid speculation that he was avoiding the public eye, Chan took to Instagram to share a photo of himself smiling while holding a dish from his restaurant.
Though Chan did not directly comment on the legal and financial issues surrounding Cafe Claus, his Instagram caption appeared to reflect his determination to fight for his business.
“We fought for you, we believed in you. Thank you Cafe Claus,” he wrote, along with a red heart emoji.

The vague statement has sparked concerns that Chan may be closing the restaurant to address the issues at hand. Nevertheless, fans and supporters flooded the comments with positive messages, expressing their love for the establishment. Some netizens even urged the actor to return to television, stating they miss seeing him in his roles.
This development follows revelations made by showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz on his YouTube program ‘Showbiz Update’ on September 9. Diaz reported that Chan is currently facing a legal case involving syndicated estafa. The case, filed under Article 315, Paragraph 2 (A) of the Revised Penal Code, accuses Chan of mishandling investments.
The controversy allegedly involves Chan’s business partner, who has since parted ways with the restaurant. There are suggestions that this individual may also be connected to the financial problems faced by Cafe Claus. Diaz also speculated whether Chan’s recent departure from a TV series was linked to the legal troubles, although Chan has yet to issue a formal response regarding the situation.
Despite the swirling rumors, Chan has maintained an open comment section on his Instagram, with fans continuing to show their support during this challenging time.
