Kris Aquino has returned to the Philippines after spending years abroad seeking treatment for her autoimmune conditions.
The news of her homecoming was shared on social media, confirming her arrival in Manila.
Aquino, who has been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases, including autoimmune thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, Churg-Strauss syndrome (EGPA), systemic sclerosis, and lupus, announced that she will begin her second round of immunosuppressant infusions, also referred to as chemotherapy.
In an emotional Instagram post, Aquino shared her determination to continue fighting for her health. “This is now the FIGHT OF MY LIFE,” she wrote, expressing that the struggle to improve her condition has evolved into a battle to protect her vital organs. She also emphasized the importance of the support from her family, close friends, and trusted doctors during this critical time.
Accompanying her is her son, Bimby, whom she described as her greatest blessing and a source of strength. Aquino’s return comes after Bimby hinted in a previous interview that his mother might come home for good around September or October.

In June, Aquino revealed that a new romance with a Makati-based doctor had encouraged her to return to the Philippines. She shared that the doctor has been instrumental in making her feel confident about her decision to come home, knowing she would have someone to help care for her.
