Kapuso actor David Licauco has earned high praise from acclaimed writer Suzette Doctolero for his exceptional performance in the GMA Network series ‘Pulang Araw.’
Doctolero, known for her work on various hit shows, took to X (formerly Twitter) to commend Licauco’s impressive acting skills and growth as an artist.
“Pinatunayan ni David na mahusay siyang umarte, hindi nagpahuli. Lahat ng artista, sa kahit na anong istasyon, lagi sana nating bigyan ng chance to improve their craft. At nagagawa ito ni David. Siya si Hiroshi Tanaka. Arigato goizamasu, David!” Doctolero expressed in her post.
Licauco plays the role of Hiroshi Tanaka, a character of Japanese descent living in the Philippines. ‘Pulang Araw’ centers on the complex lives of four childhood friends—Adelina (played by Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi, and Eduardo (Alden Richards)—as they navigate the challenges of life before and during World War II.
