Veteran actress Rosanna Roces has officially joined the cast of the popular primetime series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ making her debut as the character Divina in the latest episode.
The 396th episode, which aired on Thursday night, saw Divina interacting with the show’s lead character, Tanggol, played by Coco Martin.
The plot thickens as Divina meets Tanggol and his group to discuss the sale of the Star of Venus, a valuable diamond that Tanggol recently stole from Don Facundo, a character portrayed by Jaime Fabregas.
In a video released by Dreamscape Entertainment, Roces shared details about her character’s role in the series.
“Magkakaroon kami ng friendship, magkakatulungan kami sa isa’t isa. Makakatulong ‘yung character ko sa kanila, sila din sa akin. … Abangan niyo po ako gabi-gabi para malaman niyo kung gaano ka-importante ang karakter ko sa buhay ni Tanggol,” Roces said, encouraging viewers to follow her character’s journey each night to see how she influences Tanggol’s life.
The introduction of Divina was met with enthusiasm from the audience, with Thursday’s episode garnering 687,839 concurrent viewers on Kapamilya Online Live, showcasing the high anticipation for Roces’ role.
