ABS-CBN’s biggest teleserye of the year, “Pamilya Sagrado”, has made a remarkable comeback, now tying in the ratings battle with its Kapuso rival, “Widows’ War”.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, “Pamilya Sagrado” has closed the gap with “Widows’ War”, even tying in viewership for one episode during the week of August 12 to 16.
On Monday, August 12, “Pamilya Sagrado” kicked off the week with a rating of 8.8 percent, its highest to date, securing the 5th spot on the overall ratings chart. With a 9.4 percent rating, “Widows’ War” edged ahead, placing 4th.
The following day, Tuesday, August 13, “Pamilya Sagrado” experienced a slight dip to 8.1 percent, while “Widows’ War” increased its lead to 9.7 percent, maintaining its 4th position while “Pamilya Sagrado” dropped to 7th.
By midweek on Wednesday, August 14, “Pamilya Sagrado” held steady at 8.1 percent, moving up to 6th place. Meanwhile, “Widows’ War” saw a slight decrease to 9.1 percent but maintained its 4th position.
On Thursday, August 15, “Pamilya Sagrado” improved to 8.3 percent, tying with “Widows’ War”, which had dropped by 0.8 percent. Both shows shared the 5th spot on the ratings chart.
Finally, on Friday, August 16, “Pamilya Sagrado” maintained its 8.3 percent rating, while “Widows’ War” rebounded slightly to 8.8 percent.
It’s also important to note that these aggregated ratings include “Widows’ War”‘s delayed telecast score. When considering only the comparative ratings, “Pamilya Sagrado” has already claimed the timeslot throne, achieving multiple same-airing wins against “Widows’ War”.
“Pamilya Sagrado” hit its all-time high of 8.8 percent on Monday, 0.4 percent higher than “Widows’ War”‘s 8.4 percent. They also tied at 8.1 percent on Wednesday before “Pamilya Sagrado” scored another win on Friday with 8.3 percent versus 7.8 percent.
Will this be the beginning of “Pamilya Sagrado” dominating the timeslot? Or will “Widows’ War” make a strong comeback to reclaim its lead?
