Former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson has publicly called on Filipino gymnastics champion Carlos Yulo to mend his strained relationship with his family.
Singson’s appeal comes with a generous offer of P5 million, which he hopes to present to Yulo once he reconciles with his mother, Angelica Yulo, and his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose.
During an interview with entertainment media on August 19 at the grand opening of BB.Q Chicken in Festival Mall, Alabang, Singson expressed his concern over the ongoing rift between Yulo and his family. He emphasized the importance of family unity, especially now that Yulo is in the spotlight as a two-time Olympic gold medalist.
“Wala.
Singson shared that despite his efforts to reach out, he has yet to receive a response from Yulo. He has, however, been in contact with the gymnast’s parents and siblings.
Singson also revealed that he felt sympathy for Yulo’s father, who was seen passionately cheering for his son during the Heroes’ Parade, which celebrated the achievements of Filipino athletes who competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The grand opening of BB.Q Chicken in Festival Mall was a lively event, with Singson and his family welcoming guests to the restaurant. Singson announced plans to open 300 BB.Q Chicken outlets across the Philippines, with his daughters, Michelle and Carlene, taking the lead in managing the expansion.
BB.Q Chicken, a popular Korean fried chicken brand, celebrated the launch of its twelfth store in the country, bringing its signature flavors and dining experience to the south of Metro Manila.
