Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo has opened up about the emotional toll that her past heartbreaks have had on her mother, Mary Anne Ranollo, particularly the unfair treatment she has received from the public.
In an interview with Boy Abunda for ‘My Mother, My Story,’ Alonzo revealed how deeply her mother is affected by the negative rumors and false accusations that often surround her personal life.
The actress shared that it is especially painful to see her mother suffering because of these untruths.
“Very much affected, especially dahil marami ngang nasasabi tungkol sa akin na hindi totoo. I think, iyon ‘yung pinakamalaki ‘yung weight sa kanya,” Alonzo said. She explained that her mother knows how hard she has worked to build a good reputation, and the unwarranted criticisms hurt more because of that.
Alonzo also expressed her frustration over how her family, particularly her mother, is dragged into these controversies, with people often casting her mother in a negative light. “Ang masakit lang sa akin, siyempre, nadadamay sila. Iyon ‘yung medyo may thing kasi ako, sanay ako, e. Hello? Matagal ko nang ginagawa ito,” the actress stated emotionally.
“Pero kapag ‘yung pamilya na ‘yung nadadamay tapos, gumagawa pa sila ng mga theories. Tapos, ginagawang villain ang nanay ko, masakit. Masakit iyon.”
Despite the challenges, Alonzo remains grateful for her mother’s unconditional love and support, especially during difficult times in her personal life and career. She emphasized that her mother has always been her source of strength, and she continues to rely on that support to navigate the complexities of fame.
