Manager and content creator Ogie Diaz has suggested a unique approach to facilitate reconciliation in light of the ongoing public dispute between two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo and his mother, Angelica Yulo.
Diaz proposed that, alongside the substantial rewards and cash incentives Carlos is receiving, efforts should be made to mend the strained relationship between the athlete and his mother.
During a recent press conference, Angelica Yulo, with her legal counsel Atty. Raymond Fortun offering his services pro bono, issued a public apology to Carlos. Despite this, tension remains, particularly regarding Angelica’s acceptance of Chloe San Jose, Carlos’s girlfriend.
On his social media account, Ogie Diaz addressed the situation, stating, “Kung makikisawsaw tayo, hangarin pa rin natin na magkaayos ang mag-inang Angelica at Carlos Yulo. Di naman naiiba ang pamilyang yan sa ibang pamilya. May kanya-kanya ding problemang kinakaharap.” He emphasized the need for unity, pointing out, “Natutuwa tayo para kay Carlos kasi tuloy-tuloy lang ang mga incentives at rewards na dumarating sa kanya mula sa mga sponsors. Aabot na yata ng 100M.”
Diaz suggested that beyond financial rewards, a meaningful gesture towards reconciliation should be considered. He remarked, “Bago pa maisipan ni Boss Vic del Rosario na bigyan si Carlos ng lifetime free subscription ng Vivamax, sana, may mag-sponsor din ng pagbabati ng mag-ina. Aba, walang katapat na halaga yon, kung sakali.”
Furthermore, Diaz proposed that Chloe San Jose could play a pivotal role in this reconciliation effort. He said, “At ang mas magandang mag-sponsor ng kanilang pagbabati — yung girlfriend ni Carlos. Kung willing magpakumbaba para ma-love na siya ng kanyang future biyenan.”
Diaz’s call underscores the importance of healing familial relationships while celebrating personal achievements, urging for a resolution that restores peace to the Yulo family amidst their publicized challenges.
