GMA News journalist Arnold Clavio is championing a new campaign to combat sexual abuse in the entertainment industry.
In a recent Instagram post, Clavio called for a unified effort to address and prevent such abuses, urging victims to come forward and seek justice.
Clavio’s post reflects his frustration with the industry’s tendency to overlook or conceal cases of sexual abuse. He criticized the existing culture that allows offenders, particularly those in positions of power, to exploit aspiring talents.
He stressed the importance of collective support for victims to address sexual abuse as a systemic issue rather than isolated incidents.
Clavio encouraged victims to speak out, emphasizing that they should not feel ashamed or fearful about their futures.

This statement comes in light of recent allegations involving two GMA Network executives accused of sexually abusing a young actor. While the identities of the accused have not been disclosed, the controversy has sparked widespread discussion on social media. The incident reportedly took place after a major event hosted by the network.
GMA Network has stated that it will await formal charges before proceeding with an internal investigation. The network previously described the accused as “contractors,” a designation that has contributed to public criticism.
In response to the sensitive nature of the allegations, Clavio has disabled comments on his Instagram post to manage the discussion.
