The Philippines is preparing to showcase its vibrant floral heritage with the debut of the Philippine International Flower Festival (PHILIFF), set to take place at Makati’s One Ayala from September 19 to 22, 2024.
The first-ever festival will spotlight a range of floral and horticultural themes, including floral designing, garden landscaping, and exhibitions on Ikebana, Bonsai, and orchids.
The event will also feature a trade show and a floral fashion show curated by acclaimed Filipino-Chinese event organizer Jerry Sibal.
Sibal, who resides in New York City and authored the coffee table book ‘An Event to Remember,’ is passionate about elevating the status of local farmers.
“I want to bring dignity to our farmers. Let us be united in helping the farmers grow our economy as well,” Sibal stated.
The PHILIFF is designed to celebrate and promote the Philippines as a leading flower producer in the Asia-Pacific region. It aims to offer Filipino horticulturists and florists opportunities to network, expand their businesses, and explore new ventures.
The festival is expected to attract both local and international investors, highlighting advancements in floriculture and horticulture technology.
