The actor’s social media presence recently stirred controversy when suspicious comments appeared on his Tiktok account. The issue arose after netizens speculated about actress Jennylyn Mercado’s potential transfer to ABS-CBN, prompting a reply from Trillo’s account that read, “May ABS pa ba?” Aguila Entertainment, Trillo’s management, quickly clarified that his account had been hacked, assuring the public that the comments were not made by him.
The third GMA Gala 2024, held last Saturday at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Hotel Manila in Pasay City, served as the network’s annual thanksgiving celebration and a fundraising event for the GMA Kapuso Foundation, benefiting various charities. This year’s theme celebrated Philippine pride, with stars donning black, white, and sparkly attire on the red carpet. The evening included several performances and presentations.
Dennis Trillo is set to star in the highly anticipated series ‘Pulang Araw’ as Japanese imperial army officer Col. Yuta Saitoh, marking his first major kontrabida role. Additionally, Trillo will appear alongside his wife, Jennylyn Mercado, in the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Everything About My Wife,’ a Philippine adaptation of an Argentinian film. This project is their first movie together in 14 years.
