Kapuso actress Marian Rivera was the most-recent actress who played Darna.
The Kapuso Primetime Queen also said that playing the iconic role is one of the highlights of her career in show business.
Marian recalled how portraying the role of Darna changed her life.
“Well, lalo akong naging fit nun eh. At tsaka inalagaan ko talaga yung sarili ko. Para maging Darna, it’s epic. Talagang suwerte,” she said.
The 32-year-old was also asked about her advice to the next actress who will get to play Darna. “
Tips? The mere fact na ibigay sa kanya yung role na yun masuwerte siya,” said Marian.
“Alagaan niya at gawin niya lahat para ma-justify niya yung character niya,” she stressed.
In June 2016, Star Cinema announced that Angel Locsin was chosen to reprise her role for the remake of “Darna”. Unfortunately, Angel and the film outlet mutually agreed that the former should withdraw from the project due to her spinal damage.
Star Cinema has yet to announce another actress who will swallow the legendary stone.
