Atasha Muhlach,a host on the noontime variety show ‘Eat Bulaga,’ recently stirred a buzz on social media after disclosing that she had a P100 allowance during her school days.
During a segment called ‘Peraphy’ on ‘Eat Bulaga,’ where wealth management coach Chinkee Tan was a guest offering financial tips for students, the topic of school allowances arose. Tan advised students to stick to their budget and cited P300 as an example.
“Kailangan, number one, ‘wag kang magdadala ng pera na higit sa budget mo. Kung ang budget mo ay P300 lang, ‘yan ang ilagay mo sa wallet mo,” Tan shared.
This caught the attention of host Vic Sotto, who found P300 to be a considerable amount for an allowance. Prompted by curiosity, Sotto turned to Atasha Muhlach and inquired about her own allowance during her student years.

Atasha’s response surprised many as she revealed that she only received a P100 allowance.
Chinkee Tan expressed disbelief, questioning whether the amount was in pesos or dollars, to which Atasha confirmed that it was indeed in Philippine pesos.
The revelation sparked a discussion among netizens, with many commending Atasha and her siblings for their maturity and attributing it to the upbringing provided by their parents, Aga Mulach and Charlene Gonzales.
