Even without his on-screen partner Barbie Forteza in ‘G! LU,’ Pambansang Bae David Licauco continues to receive unwavering support from BarDa fans.
The movie, produced by ALV Productions, was initially slated for release in 2020 but faced delays due to the pandemic.
Despite this, Team BarDa left their mark in 2022, following their collaboration in the GMA Network series “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”
“‘Yung mga BarDa fans, nakikita ko ang mga tweets nila sa akin, nakikita ko ang mga comments nila na susuportahan nila kahit na hindi ko kasama dito si Barbie,” shared Licauco during the film’s media conference on April 17.
While his on-screen pair congratulated him, Licauco expressed gratitude for the fans’ overwhelming support, especially during solo projects like this movie.
“Super thankful na kahit outside sa loveteam sinusuportahan ako ng mga BarDa kaya super thankful ako doon,” he said.
Regarding Forteza’s attendance at the premiere night on April 24, Licauco admitted uncertainty due to their hectic schedules.
“Hindi ko pa siya natatanong dahil sobrang busy namin. May taping kami actually, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, then Sunday premiere night. So baka matutulog ako sa movie. Kaya hindi ko rin sure kung i-invite ko siya.”
Joining Licauco in the press conference were the film’s director, Philip King, and co-stars Katarina Rodriguez, Enzo Pineda, Derrick Monasterio, and Teejay Marquez.
Completing the cast of ‘G! Lu’ are Kiko Estrada, Ruru Madrid, Michelle Dee, Chanel Morales, Carl Guevarra, Sophia Senoron, Ali Forbes, and Denver Hernandez.
