During the media interview with the cast of ‘Black Rider’ on April 16, beauty queen-turned-actress, Herlene Budol, could not resist but gush over her co-star, comedian Empoy Marquez.
Set to reprise her role as Pretty alongside Marquez’s character Oka, viewers will see if their romantic subplot continues.
The former beauty queen admitted their on-screen pairing is “okay,” but her following statements reveal something more. When asked how was the experience working with Empoy, Budol said she was thrilled to the point the actor-comedian appeared like the show’s star, Ruru Madrid.
“Nakakakilig talaga.
Budol’s effusive praise for Marquez’s comedic prowess and natural charm shines through in her candid remarks. Describing him as a “natural clown,” she admits to being mesmerized by his presence on set, often finding herself breaking character in fits of laughter. Despite the occasional disruptions, Budol’s admiration for Marquez’s talent is palpable. She declares him to be a standout even among the show’s star, Ruru Madrid.
In the meantime, fans of the pair hope they get to have a happy ending in “Black Rider: Bagong Digmaan.”
