Actress and host of ‘It’s Showtime’ Kim Chiu felt blessed and grateful to be part of the show as ABS-CBN inked a deal with GMA Network on March 20.
The partnership will have the Kapamilya noontime show to air on GMA Network. Meanwhile, Chiu, besides being a mainstay in It’s Showtime, also top bills the upcoming Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean series “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.”
She said the blessings she received in her career were all because of those who supported her.
“Dahil sa mga taong sumusuporta din at naniniwala, sa mga taong curious din, so sobra akong nagpapasalamat,” the teary-eyed actress expressed. “Kasi kung ako lang naman ‘to, the platform itself, hindi naman namin alam kung magiging number one siya.”
“Dahil ito sa mga taong nandiyan para sumuporta, and manood, and tumatangkilik sa mga palabas namin,” she added.
Chiu also hopes that her fans will continue to support her.
“Hiling ko, sana tuluy-tuloy lang din ang suporta nila sa akin, sa lahat ng mga shows. And very thankful din sa ABS-CBN, and of course, kay Sir Deo [Endrinal], ‘yung last project na pinagkatiwala niya sa akin. Kaya sobra din akong nagpapasalamat.”
When asked if she would be as successful as she was in her career when it comes to love, the actress somehow agreed and disagreed with this notion.
“I think so, hahaha! Huwag naman sana, hahaha! Hindi, hindi, hindi.”
Chiu, who recently parted ways with longtime partner Xian Lim said she is not closing the door on finding love in the future. She also considers love life as a bonus to her success.
“Kung nandiyan, nandiyan, kung wala, eh wala. Parang dagdag ano na lang bonus ‘yung love if ever.”
“It’s Showtime” first aired on GMA Network’s second free-to-air channel, GTV, and will be on the network’s main channel starting April 6 as a replacement for the now-defunct noontime show “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.”
