ABS-CBN’s YouTube series ‘Zoomers’ has been officially renewed for a second season, following the success of its debut installment.
Tackling a variety of social issues, ‘Zoomers’ quickly gained traction as the network’s most-watched original narrative ongoing series.
The ensemble cast of the show, particularly Harvey Bautista and Criza Taa, who portray Jiggs and Hope, respectively, received acclaim for their performances in the first season. Bautista expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, looking forward to further exploring his character’s development.
“Very thankful na nagustuhan ng mga tao ‘yung pairing namin dalawa. Excited na din ako for this season kasi mas kilala na namin ni Criza ‘yung characters namin,” Bautista commented.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the continuation of the romance between Krystl Ball and Kei Kurosawa, who play Tania and Faye. Ball expressed her excitement for season 2, admitting the unexpected renewal and eagerly anticipating the next chapter in their characters’ journey.
“Actually hindi talaga kami nag-expect na magkaka-season 2 kami kasi that was pending pa and they were thinking about it. But now na it’s very final na I’m so excited to see kung saan pa ‘yung GL namin. Siguro magiging masaya ‘yung mga tao when they see the story on how it will unravel,” Ball revealed.
Director Kevin Alambra and creative producer Theodore Boborol expressed their surprise at the decision to greenlight a second season and are eager to delve deeper into character development while addressing broader social issues.
“In this season, apart from bigger social issues na mai-inject natin sa script, papasukin natin how these actors actually treat the material deeply kasi inaral talaga nila bawat character,” Alambra explained.
Season 2 of ‘Zoomers’ will feature additional cast members, including Erika Davis, Hadiyah Santos, Zabel Lambert, Ralph de Leon, Luis Vera Perez, Zach Castañeda, and Luke Alford.
With anticipation building, fans can look forward to the return of ‘Zoomers’ and the continuation of its compelling storytelling when it premieres its second season.
