On March 6, 2024, Eastwood Central Plaza once again became the stage for honoring luminaries from the entertainment industry and social media as the ‘Eastwood City Walk of Fame 2024‘ ceremony unfolded.
This annual event, now in its 18th year, pays tribute to notable personalities, a tradition inaugurated by the late German Moreno, fondly known as “Kuya Germs.”
Among the esteemed honorees in the realm of showbiz executives were GMA Network Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, Viva President and CEO Vic Del Rosario Jr., iconic starmaker and Sparkle GMA Artist Center consultant Johnny Manahan, popularly referred to as “Mr. M,” and Solar Entertainment President Wilson Tieng.
Distinguished directors and performers in theater also received recognition, including Brillante Mendoza, Tony Reyes, and Menchu Lauchengco.
The music industry saw stars bestowed upon Rivermaya members Mark Escueta, Nathan Azarcon, and Kakoy Legaspi, alongside Jet Pangan from The Dawn.
In the field of news and public affairs, the spotlight shone on Cathy Yap-Yang, a respected business journalist, Kapuso entertainment reporter Lhar Santiago, and esteemed DZBB radio anchor Joel Reyes Zobel.
Social media influencers were not left out, with vlogger-socialite Small Laude, joined by her spouse and siblings, notably her sister Alice Eduardo, a recipient of multiple ‘People of the Year’ awards, receiving well-deserved stars.
The acting fraternity was also well-represented, with Alden Richards, Luis Manzano, Richard Yap, Baron Geisler, Michelle Marquez Dee, and the popular pairing of “DonBelle,” comprised of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, all being honored for their contributions to Philippine entertainment.
