JC de Vera remains resolute in his happiness within his marriage to Rikkah Cruz.
Following the premiere of the film ‘Apo Hapon (A Love Story)’ on February 22, 2024, at The Block, SM North EDSA, Quezon City, JC De Vera candidly discussed his blissful domestic life.
Despite the chatter surrounding their relationship, JC emphasized the tranquility he finds with his wife, particularly praising her unwavering support.
“My life right now is very balanced. Kapag walang trabaho, sa bahay lang with my family. Life is simple. Not so much happenings… Pero nandun lang ako sa bahay, kasama yung pamilya ko, and then nag-spend time together with them,” shared JC, reflecting on the harmony he cherishes at home.
JC attributes much of their marital contentment to the fact that Rikkah is not part of the entertainment industry, allowing them to lead a serene life away from the prying eyes of the public.
“Very confident ako, and I know nasa magandang position ako ngayon, in terms of yun nga, yung relationship with my family. Yeah! I’m very much okay. I have the best wife ever. Very, very supportive and wala, best partner for life. Kasi iniintindi niya talaga lahat, and patuloy lang na inaalagaan yung family namin,” expressed JC, underscoring his gratitude for Rikkah’s unwavering support.
Despite his involvement in intimate scenes, including kissing scenes, in his latest film ‘Apo Hapon,’ JC remains unruffled, crediting his wife’s understanding nature. Even a prolonged kissing scene with his co-star, Japanese model Sakura Akiyoshi, failed to raise eyebrows between the couple.
While acknowledging the challenges of navigating his career alongside a family, JC maintains a balanced perspective. He recognizes that his wife’s steadfast support serves as a cornerstone of their relationship, allowing them to navigate any hurdles together seamlessly.
Additionally, JC noted a marked decrease in pressure while filming ‘Apo Hapon,’ especially compared to his previous project, ‘Bakit Di Mo Sabihin,’ in 2022.
“This is one is somehow lighter kesa dun sa huling ginawa ko. This is very, very much lighter,” shared JC, suggesting a more relaxed atmosphere during the filming process.
JC de Vera takes immense pride in his latest cinematic endeavor, ‘Apo Hapon (A Love Story),’ directed by Joel Lamangan, alongside co-star Sakura Ajiyoshi. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Lianne Valentin, Perla Bautista, Rico Barrera, Fumiya Sankai, Nella Dizon, Jim Pebanco, Marcus Madrigal, Elora Españo, Panteen Palanca, and Prince Clemente.
‘Apo Hapon (A Love Story)’ is set to enchant audiences when it hits theaters on March 6, 2024.
