In the segment ‘Payong Kapatid’ on the episode on Sunday, February 11, partners Michelle and Jonalyn sought help and advice on what to do after being assaulted by the owner of the lot they were buying.
The incident happened when they tried to ask for their money back as they found out that there was another owner of the lot.
They had already raised the concern to their barangay officials but still came to the show to confirm if they can file a case for what they’ve experienced.
“Secondly, ‘yung conciliation kung tawagin or, I don’t mean it in a negative way, in a positive way ‘yung pag-aaregluhan [o] pakikipag-ayos.
Michelle and Jonalyn claimed they could not move forward to their everyday lives because they needed to seek doctor’s help, which Kuya Alan advised for them to prioritize.
“Nakakalungkot ‘no? “But that’s our job — to dissect kung ano ‘yung dapat gawin.
“I’m so happy na nagtiwala sila to come to us because naging source of information,” Pia concluded.
Boy Abunda noted that the program is open to hear the side of the other party.
The show carries on the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of the sibling senators. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program ‘Compañero y Compañera,’ which aired from 1997 to 2001.
‘CIA with BA’ hosted by Alan, Pia, and Boy airs every Sunday, 11:00 p.m. on GMA7.
