Kapuso actress Rita Daniela recently made headlines after candidly admitting her involvement as a third party in a celebrity relationship during a guest appearance on the show ‘Sarap, ‘Di Ba?’.
The singer-actress participated in the segment ‘True or Charot,’ where players guess the veracity of a statement.
When confronted with the statement “Na-experience ko maging third party sa isang relasyon. Naghiwalay sila dahil sa akin”, Daniela confirmed its authenticity.
While providing hints that the affair occurred roughly between 2017 and 2018, Daniela opted not to disclose the identities of the couple involved, sparking speculation about whether they were part of the entertainment industry.
Eventually confirming the truth of her statement, Daniela recounted how she was misled by the guy, who claimed to be single despite having a girlfriend.
“Kasi usually sabi kapag mga ganiyan wala na sila, ‘di na sila okay tapos meron pa rin pala so nung nalaman ko syempre tinigil,” she shared.
Daniela expressed regret for her role in the situation, attributing her actions to her lack of spiritual guidance at the time. She also revealed that she has since apologized multiple times to the couple, who are now married.
This revelation comes amidst Daniela’s personal journey, marked by her separation from her non-showbiz partner in June 2023 after a four-year relationship. They currently co-parent their son, Uno.
Moreover, Daniela previously hinted at her romantic feelings for her co-actor, Ken Chan, referring to their relationship as an “almost love story.”
