On February 2, Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil stated that he’s not worried about getting typecasted with his role in I’m Not Big Bird.
At the media conference for I’m Not Big Bird, which LionhearTV covered, Gil maintained that he isn’t afraid of getting defined by his role in the adventure comedy film.
“No hindi naman po, hindi naman po. Kapag napanood ninyo naman po ‘yung pelikula, makikita mo rin naman po ako rin naman si Big Bird eh. So, ‘yun.”
He even recounted how some people he knew in ABS-CBN would joke around calling him Big Bird.
“Actually, nasa CR ako the other day dito, tapos may mga engineers na hindi ko na nakita for how many years. Pag pasok ko sabi nila, ‘Oh, ito pala si Big Bird oh.’ Ayos ah. Pwede, pwede.”
He also addressed how he would react to people who may attempt to take a peek at his ‘big bird.’
“Ay ewan ko na lang, ewan ko na lang. Baka sapak.”
He then remarked that what matters is the size of his heart rather than the size of his package.
“It’s not about the size of your package but the size of your heart talaga that really matters.”
As for his upcoming comedy movie, I’m Not Big Bird stars Enrique Gil, Nikko Natividad, Pepe Herrera, and Red Ollero.
Under the direction of Victor Villanueva and a story written by Lilit Reyes and Joma Labayen, I’m Not Big Bird opens in cinemas starting February 14.
