After their remarkable collaboration in the hit drama series ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso,’ the beloved real-life couple, Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte, are gearing up for individual projects to further hone their craft and artistic growth.
Speaking during a recent media conference for the teleserye in Quezon City, Andalio expressed her eagerness for both of them to explore separate opportunities.
“Ngayon sa serye, siguro mas gusto ko magkaiba naman po muna. Kanya-kanya mag-grow muna,” she shared, emphasizing the significance of personal and artistic development.
The celebrated love team, with a seven-year partnership, aims to continue evolving individually, with Andalio highlighting her wish for Alonte to experience growth as an actor. She stressed the importance of diversifying their roles for a more well-rounded artistic journey.
Alonte, in agreement with Andalio, disclosed his interest in venturing into the action genre. “Gusto ko talaga mag-action. Ito [Pira-Pirasong Paraiso] naging training ko. Tama si Lois, napagusapan namin, ‘pag may magandang offer, pwede ka mag-solo at humiwalay muna’,” Alonte stated, expressing gratitude to Dreamscape for providing such opportunities.
While expressing a preference for action roles, Alonte clarified his openness to any project that comes his way, including exploring the “boys love” genre.
“Ako, hindi ako namimili kung sino bigay nila or isama sa akin, whether girl or ensemble. BL, kasama ko pa si KD at Joseph Marco,” Alonte affirmed, highlighting his flexibility and willingness to accept diverse roles.
Andalio, on her part, revealed a leaning towards projects that deviate from traditional romance-centric plots. She expressed interest in working with fellow female artists in a setup reminiscent of ‘Sex and the City,’ appreciating the diversity offered by projects like ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso,’ which revolves around family dynamics rather than a conventional love story.
Despite their individual aspirations, the couple remains open to collaborative projects. Andalio shared her dream of doing a remake of ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ with Alonte, showcasing their chemistry in a different light.
The power couple, known for their genuine love story both on and off-screen, has spent six years captivating audiences. From the initial kilig moments in ‘Love In 40 Days’ to the dramatic depths of ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso,’ Ronnie and Loisa continue to redefine the conventional “love team” label, proving that their real-life connection translates into magical on-screen performances.
