On January 6, Kapuso star Gabbi Garcia recounted returning to her fitness training for her role in Sang’gre.
During the launch of ‘Panahon sa Taiwan: Ang Iyong Love Story’ at a mall in Pasay City, which LionhearTV covered, Garcia revealed she recently got back to her fitness training for her role of Alena amid the holidays.
“Yes, actually ang weird nga, December ako bumalik, di ba, sa gitna ng kainan at holiday, bumalik na po ako sa aking pagiging fit. So tuloy-tuloy na ‘yun hanggang sa mag-shoot kami for Encantadia.”
Garcia also discussed what it was like seeing her fellow Sang’gres, Sanya Lopez, Kylie Padilla, and Glaiza de Castro, during the taping of their teaser for the upcoming Kapuso series.
“Noong shinoot namin ‘to, December lang. When I got from Hong Kong, deretso kami ng shoot noon. It feels so surreal and ang sarap sa pakiramdam na despite not being together for such a long time, ‘yung relationship is still there. Ganon pa rin ‘yung lokohan namin. The bonding is still there and it’s a bond that we can never break dahil napakarami na naming pinagsamahan.”
She appreciated how Encantadia (2016) continues with its story through the spin-off of the Kapuso fantasy series.
“And happy ako na we’ll be creating new memories with ito nga, with our new show, Sang’gre. And we’re happy to welcome the other new casts of Encantadia. Nakakatuwa kasi padami ng padami, panganak ng panganak ‘yung mga istorya, nakaka-excite siyang gawin.
She expressed excitement about portraying the role of Alena again, citing how the character left a mark on her career.
“And I’m very excited to wear my costume again. Hindi pa, pero just the thought of being Alena again, nakakakilig. Di ba? Ito talaga ‘yung isa sa mga projects talaga na bumuo sa akin.”
As for her recent campaign, her beau Khalil Ramos joins the tourism campaign as Taiwan’s newest Tourism Ambassador, with the couple promoting sights and locations in Taiwan.
Garcia became Taiwan’s Tourist Ambassador in 2020, wherein she has been traveling to various locations in the country while promoting tourist spots.
