Kapuso star Matteo Guidicelli recently opened up about his heartfelt wish for the upcoming Christmas and New Year.
Expressing his eagerness for parenthood, Guidicelli disclosed that he and his wife, Sarah Geronimo, are anticipating the right time to start a family.
During a press conference for his upcoming film ‘Penduko,’ an official entry in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023, Matteo shared his aspirations for the future. The actor emphasized that his top priority is his family, and while they have plans for expansion, he acknowledged the importance of divine timing.
“For 2024 and in the future, sana magka-baby na kami. In God’s time,” Matteo stated, highlighting the couple’s reliance on faith and their willingness to embrace whatever blessings come their way.
Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo, who have been together for three years and married in a private ceremony in 2020, continue to navigate their journey together amidst public scrutiny.
Aside from personal aspirations, Matteo eagerly discussed his forthcoming film ‘Penduko,’ a high-stakes action-fantasy movie. Directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, the film features intense fight scenes and risky stunts, challenging Guidicelli and the entire production team.
Matteo also delved into the film’s theme of anting-anting (amulets) and acknowledged the prevalent beliefs in their protective powers. Drawing from his experience as an Army reservist, Guidicelli recounted stories of soldiers relying on anting-anting for protection. In a lighthearted remark, he hinted that his ultimate protective charm is his wife, Sarah.
‘Penduko’ is slated for release on December 25 as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Kylie Verzosa, Albert Martinez, John Arcilla, Arron Villaflor, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Phoebe Walker, Marissa Sanchez, Candy Pangilinan, and Andrea Del Rosario, among others.
Produced through a collaboration between Epik Studios, Cignal TV, and Sari Sari Network, Inc., ‘Penduko’ promises to be a thrilling addition to the festival lineup.
