The Kapuso sitcom, which debuted on May 27, has sustained its dominance in its respective timeslot. Despite a decline in ratings from the initial 8.3% to 5.6% on November 11, the show continues to captivate audiences.
Speculation surrounding the sitcom’s potential discontinuation emerged due to issues involving TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon) and TAPE Inc. The departure of TVJ from ‘Eat Bulaga’ and their establishment of the show ‘EAT’ on TV5 fueled these rumors.
While the TV5 project is in development, measures are being taken to ensure that the two sitcoms do not directly compete, allowing viewers to enjoy both.
The GMA Network sitcom airs every 9:30 p.m., following ‘#MPK (Magpakailanman).’ The TV5 sitcom, slated to premiere next year, is yet to unveil its timeslot and official details.
