Talent manager and content creator Ogie Diaz has taken a humble stance, issuing apologies to celebrities who may have been offended by the subjects discussed on his YouTube channel, ‘Showbiz Updates.’
Acknowledging the criticisms directed at him and the channel for covering hot topics and controversies, ogie expressed understanding of fans and netizens who passionately react, especially when their beloved stars are involved.
When asked by his co-host, Mama Loi, if any artists had confronted him due to the reported news, Ogie responded, “Wala. Wala pa, so far.”
Ogie Diaz faced significant backlash recently after reporting an alleged clandestine meeting between Daniel Padilla and Andrea Brillantes, speculated as a factor in the supposed discord between DJ and Kathryn Bernardo. Ogie swiftly clarified that the information did not originate from him, adding a disclaimer that the news was unverified and, hopefully, untrue.
He also rebuked fans who labeled him a “fake news peddler.”
In a subsequent episode of ‘Showbiz Updates,’ Ogie addressed the controversy and extended apologies to any celebrities who might have felt hurt by their reports.
“Kung na-offend man ‘yung iba sa aming mga ibinabalita rito, sa pangkalahatan po, ha, in general, kami po ay humihingi ng sorry. Sa mga artista po, na feeling nila na-offend namin sila, sorry po,” conveyed Ogie.
Ogie Diaz had earlier taken to Facebook to share the messages he received from critics.
In his Facebook post, he criticized those who make a living from gossip while questioning the authenticity of his support for celebrities. Ogie emphasized, “Queen ina n’yo, saan pa namin ilalagay ang sarili namin, dahil di namin kayo ma-spelling?”
