TV host-actress Karla Estrada recently shared a video by Boy Abunda on her Facebook account.
The video, uploaded by Boy on October 28, contains advice on avoiding the spread of unverified news.
In the video, Boy Abunda advises against repeating gossip or unconfirmed information, emphasizing the importance of not contributing to the dissemination of potentially untrue details.
Karla shared the video following showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz’s discussion about an alleged clandestine meeting between her son, Daniel Padilla, and fellow Kapamilya star Andrea Brillantes. Some netizens speculated that Karla’s Facebook reels post was a direct response to Ogie’s earlier statements.
Upon learning about Karla’s share of the video, Ogie provided his reaction to the situation.
Mama Loi, presumably referring to Karla, concurred with Ogie, stating, “Oo nga, ‘no. Simula, Nay, wala kang ibang bukambibig: ‘Ito may impormasyon, sana hindi totoo’.”
Ogie stressed the importance of including disclaimers such as “not yet confirmed” in their discussions. Nevertheless, he acknowledged the significance of issuing apologies to anyone, including artists, who may have been offended by the information he shared.
