It appears that the Kapamilya action-drama teleserye ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ)’ is gearing up for a significant competition against its latest Kapuso rival, ‘Black Rider.’
According to the recent Nielsen NUTAM People survey ratings, FPJBQ experienced a downward trend in ratings during the premiere week of ‘Black Rider.’
On Monday, November 6, FPJBQ secured a rating of 15.5 percent, securing the second position on the overall ratings chart.
The following day, Tuesday, November 7, FPJBQ saw a slight increase of 0.7 percent, bringing it back to the top of the leaderboard with a 16.2 percent rating.
However, on Wednesday, November 8, FPJBQ faced a considerable setback, dropping 1.4 percent to 14.8 percent and reverting to the second spot in the ratings chart.
In contrast, its Kapuso rival ‘Black Rider’ has showcased a consistent rise since its debut.
Starting with a pilot rating of 12.1 percent on Monday, November 6, it improved to 12.2 percent on Tuesday, November 7, and further increased by 0.9 percent on Wednesday, November 8, reaching a rating of 13.1 percent.
Meanwhile, despite FPJBQ facing stiff competition in traditional TV ratings, it maintained its dominance in the online realm.
FPJBQ led online viewership by a significant margin against ‘Black Rider.’ During the premiere of the Kapuso series on Monday, November 6, FPJBQ garnered over 467,000 live peak concurrent views, in stark contrast to Black Rider’s peak of only 17,000 during its opening minutes.
Will this downward trend continue for FPJBQ making way for ‘Black Rider’ to snatch the lead? Or will it recover fast and leave its rival gasping for breath again? We’ll see.
