On November 3, Ninuno Media’s Director Jason Paul Laxamana emotionally discussed the milestones of the Pinoy Pop group ALAMAT.Â
At the media conference for ALAMAT’s ‘Dagundong,’ which LionhearTV covered, Laxamana became emotional while being proud of what the PPop group achieved.
“Naalala ninyo boys, ‘yung very first training ninyo, ‘yung first training ninyo na naka-face shield pa kayo, naka-face mask, di ba pinapikit ko kayo ng mata. Sabi ko, ‘sabay-sabay tayong mag-envision, nasa stage tayo lahat, kumakanta, sumasayaw, habang nagche-cheer ‘yung mga Filipino sa paligid.’ Tapos 2023, ‘yun nagagawa ninyo na ‘yun.Â
“I’m proud lang na kung ano ‘yung minanifest nila, nandito na ngayon and I hope mag tuloy-tuloy pa.”
He then considered ALAMAT’s performance in the recently concluded PPopCon Manila as one of the highlights of the Pinoy Pop group.
“Performance, well, I think itong recently concluded na PPop convention sa Araneta. I don’t know how people will interpret it, pero [I think]–na ALAMAT was very proud na sila ‘yung nag-perform before SB19.”
He also emphasized that the members of ALAMAT appreciated performing before their idols, SB19.
“So you know, these boys, they look up to SB19 so much, and parang sila ang layo na ng narating nila and to be placed sa slot before them, ewan ko parang nakakapanindig balahibo. ‘Yung parang ako sa interpretation ko parang sila ‘yung– I wouldn’t say next, kasi kapag sinabing next parang pinapalitan mo, eh ang tingin ko lang naman nafa-follow ng Alamat ‘yung success ng SB19, slowly but surely.”
Aside from their performance, Laxamana also pointed out how the event gave ALAMAT members the chance to showcase their individual talents.
“Tapos sa PPop Con din ‘yung first time na nagkaroon ng parang solo showcase ‘yung bawat isa, so ‘yung PPop Con ‘yung milestone.”
